Baggage Policy at the Airport
As part of our security procedures, all passengers at Port Vila international airport must pass security screening where carry-on bags are X-rayed, laptops or metal items may need to be removed, liquids are limited to 100ml in a clear 1-liter bag, and prohibited items must be packed in checked luggage.

A person over 18 years and over is allow to shop at the duty free shops in Port Vila International Airport.

Travelling to Vanuatu, each passenger a required to pay departure tax, which is included in the ticked, so passenger would have to pay for it separately.
Quarantine
The Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry, has rules and regulations for the import of goods and items into the country. All items such as vegetables, seeds, or any animal product must have an import permit by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forests.
All these good allow a payment fee, and with 5 kg each, if the good’s weight is over 5kg, then another fee will be charge.
However, it was the passenger’s failure to declare the goods, and it was found. The passengers are complying carries a fine up to 1,000,000 Vatu.

Located airside at the Departures Terminal of Port Vila International Airport, this facility is conveniently positioned opposite the main departure lounge for economy passengers on the ground floor. The facility operates daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM, though its opening and closing times may vary depending on flight schedules. This flexibility allows it to accommodate fluctuations in passenger traffic, ensuring service is available during peak travel times.
